What do you do for work? I work for the Department of Public Health in the Purchase of Service Office which oversees DPH fiscal and administrative activities to ensure compliance with government requirements in the areas of procurement of goods and services and service contracting. POS fulfills its responsibilities in these areas through various systems particularly the POS Tracking System for which I am the business analyst and on a daily basis provide training and technical assistance to the users and work with our system manager to make updates and modifications, fix issues and continuously improve the functionality of the system.
What made you join WFOB? I wanted to make sure that I was getting regular exercise and I need classes to make sure that I am doing the exercises that I should be. I could never make myself do what the instructors ask us to do in the classes – I need that push. My lunchtime was the perfect time to fit it into my day and the gym is just around the corner from where I work. I have been a member for over 9 years.
What are your fitness goals? My fitness goal is to participate in classes 3-4 times a week that include muscle toning, aerobic exercise and yoga. It is important to me to get regular exercise and eat healthy to reduce the effects of aging.
