What Does Volunteering Look Like?
We have regular openings for Volunteers in the evening hours between 5-10pm and in the mornings between 6-9am. Ideally volunteers will commit to a weekly, bi-monthly or monthly shift ongoing.
Support Our Staff
Our volunteers primarily support our staff, assist with guests needs, cleaning, organizing and being available to meet our guests and get to know them. We also need volunteers to help transport our laundry on Friday/Saturday mornings and Tuesday/Wednesday mornings, weekly.
Hot Evening Meals and Snack Food Donations
Additionally, we have volunteers bring in hot meals in the evenings as often as possible. We do not have a way to cook anything, so all meals brought in must be in a crock pot, casserole dish or any container that can be packed in/packed out. We also accept snack food donations and are always in need of coffee, creamer, tea and hot cocoa! Check out our wish list at the bottom of this page to view more of our regular needs.

Volunteer Trainings – Save the Dates! Volunteer trainings are the 2nd Saturday (1-4 pm) each month.
If you can't make this one, that's ok!
Just send us a note about what training you would like to attend
and we will get you on the list.
Interfaith Works History of Volunteerism
Our shelter program has a long, 24 year history of volunteerism in this community. Endless thanks to all of our current and past volunteers... We literally couldn't do this without you!
If you don't currently volunteer with us, we would LOVE for you to get involved in this legacy! Together we can transform our entire community through the empowerment of our most vulnerable neighbors. Thank you for your interest!
