Wattblock was the recipient of a grant from the City of Sydney which has assisted in rolling out the product.  We would also like to thank all 47 staff and interns who have worked with us over the past 12 months to help us receive this award.

Spike in high-rise apartment reports
Wattblock has a hit a new record, generating over 30 high rise apartment block energy reports in the past month across Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. In particular, Mooloolaba Esplanade is getting serious about energy saving.

Apartment owners lobbying for electric vehicle recharge stations
According to Geoff Healey, "Over the next five years Australia’s record thirst for acquisition of new technology and the record car industry sales being recorded will inevitably lead to a plethora of battery powered vehicles, cars, delivery vehicles etc.....Apartments will become replacements for Gas stations. Hungry for energy." As a former engineer and life member of the Australian Racing Drivers Club, he is uniquely positioned to lead the charge!

Team Update
Wattblock welcomes Genevieve Christou to the team. Genevieve comes from Queensland University of Technology where she is studying a Bachelor of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She is working in our Brisbane office at River City Labs. We also welcome back Greg Nojnitski from UNSW solar engineering who is completing his second internship with Wattblock in the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre in Sydney.

Brisbane Trip
Brent is heading back up to Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast from Tuesday 19th July to Thursday 21st July. Reach out if you are free for a meeting.
